Two boys electrocuted to death in Kathua | KNO

Kathua, Apr 17 (KNO): In a tragic incident, two boys lost their lives after they came in contact with a live transmission line near Jasrota sanctuary in Kathua area on Saturday, official said here. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two boys riding a motorcycle were found lying unconscious alongside a road near Jasrota sanctuary in Kathua and they were rushed to GMC Kathua but were declared as brought dead on arrival. Deceased have been identified as Suresh Sharma son of Madan Lal, a resident of Baloura and Adityang Sharma son of Kuldeep Raj, a resident of Sarna Samba. Police officials said that it has come to fore that the duo came in contact with a 11 KV live wire that had fell off from a pole. "So far, initial investigation reveals that the duo came in contact with a live wire and received electric shock, resulting in their on spot death," the officials said. SSP Kathua, Romesh Kotwal told KNO that they have taken cognizance of the matter and a case FIR 50/2021 has been registered in Rajbagh police station while further investigation has been initiated—(KNO)
